Win or Lose--Kinghts still booze

When I was a kid, saturday mornings were reserved for cartoons and pancakes...
During football season, as a college student, they are reserved for tailgating and beer (disclaimer: I don't drink beer, but thousands of other college students do...and the definately did this day)...

Yes, this past Satuday morning the OCB ShockSquaders were out in full effect bright and early to hang out, give out stuff and spend the morning and early afternoon with knights and bulls alike at the Citrus Bowl tailgate...or fanfare...

Now, as a UCF Student, of course I felt more inclined to give away our little goodies (consisting of car CD holders and flyers) to fellow Knights..but we, at OCB are impartial and gave the goods to all that came by our booth... :)

I loved seeing people getting in the game vibe...I am happy that UCF students are developing more school spirit...which we captured on our film...we saw multiple Knightros, Glycerins (that is the female Knightro counterpart for those of you that do not know), and even the BK King (whose mask is a little eerie)...little girls as UCFCheerleaders, and a few great beer helmets...

There were games of flip cup, Drink-o, and some tossing of the football happening at many of the tailgating areas..lots of fun, and good spirit...
There were bonuses for people that were tailgating responsibly (which I think meant not getting drunk off their @$$es)...and lots of free goodies and food.

My only complaint is that the game was in the middle of the day, meaning: peak sunshine and heat hours...and I know if I am complaining about the heat, everyone else must have been dieing...but that is out of our hands--can't change this Floridian weather...

Pretty much was a great tailgate.  Good vibe, free stuff, spirited football fans, and no one threw up on my shoes...so next time the only thing that would make the day better, would be if UCF would actually win.

Come on Knights..I know you can do it...

Overspray at the Orlando Brewery

Art, music and beer...sounds like a good Satuday night, right?
Well it was...though initially Ashley, Natasha, and I thought we were heading to the boondocks...
Suprisingly, a little bit of underground culture came to light amongst all of the industrial buildings when we rounded the corner of Atlanta.
Though I myself am not a beer drinker, I heard the local brews from the Orlando Brewery were great, and you did not have to be intoxicated to appreciate the art...
On a miriad of canvases...including fences and mirrors...the spraypainted art was appreciated by an eclectic mix of emo, artsy, and beer aficianados.
There were also live stencilings done on bags, shirts...and anything else people brought forth...

A good night...if you didnt leave drunk off  the great beer..you had a buzz from the art...or maybe just the paint fumes...

We got some video interviews so check that out too...

Hot Wings & Rasslin'

Hooters. The name speaks for itself. Every guy loves the delightfully tacky restaurant chain... even if they don't like the chicken wings. Personally, I prefer mine naked. Yes, I am still talking about the wings. So, what happens when you add ice cold draft beer, hot wings, scantily clad waitresses & WRESTLEMANIA on pay per view??? I had the pleasure of finding out for myself this past Sunday at the Hooters in Casselberry. The "Super bowl" of professional wrestling attracts quite an interesting/diverse crowd. The pay-per-view started at 7 p.m. I was told that the tables were full & standing room only was established about an hour before that. I had the worst time finding a parking place. The entire parking lot was not only packed with cars, not to mention wrestling fans. The skating rink next door offered parking for a reasonable $10. I pulled a John Cena & gave those guys the "F U". I found an open spot on the side of the road further down the street.

I had a lot of fun taking pictures & passing out stickers. I also enjoyed learning that the Undertaker has never lost a match at Wrestlemania, Rey Mysterio is the new World Heavyweight Champion, & that more people dislike John Cena than the WWE would like to admit. I think that everyone should check out a wrestling pay-per-view at Hooters at least once in their life. The combination of athleticism & theatrics are very entertaining. I like the fact that it brings people together as well (everyone cheers for the good guys & boo's the hell out of the bad guys). I also recommend the Hooters in Casselberry because they were kind enough to let me take pictures for Orlandocitybeat, the service is outstanding (show some love to Emilie, Leslie, & Jasmine), & they also gave me a free Sweet Tea! Seriously, I love those guys like a fat kid loves cake. Do yourself a favor & check out some sports entertainment at Hooters.

Okay, on a side note. Has everyone checked out the video clip from the Florida Film Festival? If not, definitely click on the link. You will see some funny movie impersonations & of course... BRANDY. Seriously guys... you gotta love Brandy on the shock squad. She's in almost every picture of O-lens! I am envious of her popularity.

Gtg. Ciao for now. Behave & I look forward to seeing everyone at the next OCB event.
